Dari, one of the official languages of Afghanistan, is the primary language of Kabul, the nation’s capital. This book introduces the language in an easy-to-follow, step-by-step format.
The first part teaches one how to read, write and pronounce each of the 32 letters of the Dari alphabet. Subsequent sections cover basic grammar, syntax and vocabulary. The writing, syntax and grammar sections all feature exercises that help reinforce the material presented in the lessons. The final section focuses on words and phrases of particular interest to those travelling where Dari is spoken. The audio CD feature complements each of the sections by allowing the reader to hear and practice the language as spoken.
